For those who have been racing with us, you probably know we have been pretty relaxed about adding rules; they are really barebones. The intention of this is to allow maximum creativity and minimize work necessary to get a car onto the track. Some people brought up that some of the cars (including mine) had manual throttle control even though the steering is autonomous.
I think it is time to add some rules around this. My recommendation is the following:
Cars must start with a single button push. This button can be on the car, on a controller, a key on a keyboard or equivalent. No other intervention can happen until after the race is over otherwise the car gets a DNF. An emergency stop button is recommended but not required.
